I think this is the right time to begin the process of therapy.
What happens next?
You are welcome to reach out by phone, text, or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video. This is a chance for you to share what you're hoping for from therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of what it might feel like to work together. Together, we’ll consider if my style of therapy feels like a good fit for your needs.
Are the sessions covered by insurance?
Psychotherapy is often covered by insurance policies. It is, however, important to check with your insurance provider to determine your specific coverage. Dana Cressman Mental Health Therapy does not provide direct billing. Once you pay the fee for the session, you will be issued a receipt, which you may provide to your insurance company for coverage.
What do your sessions cost?
Adult and Adolescent (14+) Individual Sessions
50 min In-person Session | $150
50 min Virtual Session | $150
You are located in a church.
Do I need to have a spiritual or religious background to access therapy with you?
No. Therapy services are provided regardless of spiritual or religious background. If you wish to incorporate spirituality or religion into your care this is an option for you. This is a collaborative process and the concerns and topics you wish to address are paramount. I will follow your lead.
Are the sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is integral to the effectiveness of the therapy process, thus the personal information a client shares in therapy will be kept confidential. Confidentiality continues after the end of the therapeutic relationship. There are, however, some limits to the therapist's duty of confidentiality, which include:
A- When there is risk of imminent danger to yourself, the client, or to another person, the therapist is ethically bound to take necessary steps to prevent such danger.
B- When there is suspicion that a child or elder is being neglected or abused or is at risk of such abuse, the therapist is legally required to take steps to protect the child or elder, and to inform the proper authorities.
C- When there is suspicion of abuse or assault by a health professional.
D- When a valid court order is issued for therapy records, the therapist is bound by law to comply with such requests.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Dana Cressman Mental Health Therapy does have a cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is the full price of the canceled or missed session.
