I think this is the right time to begin the process of therapy.
What happens next?
You are welcome to reach out by phone, text, or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video. This is a chance for you to share what you're hoping for from therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of what it might feel like to work together. Together, we’ll consider if my style of therapy feels like a good fit for your needs.
Are the sessions covered by insurance?
Coverage for Psychotherapy and/or a Canadian Certified Counselor is often provided by insurance policies. It is, however, important to check with your insurance provider to determine your specific coverage. Dana Cressman Mental Health Therapy does not provide direct billing. Once you pay the fee for the session, you will be issued a receipt, which you may provide to your insurance company for coverage.
What do your sessions cost?
Adult and Adolescent (14+) Individual Sessions
60 min In-person Session | $160
60 min Virtual Session | $160
You are located in a church.
Do I need to have a spiritual or religious background to access therapy with you?
No. Therapy services are provided regardless of spiritual or religious background. If you wish to incorporate spirituality or religion into your care this is an option for you. This is a collaborative process and the concerns and topics you wish to address are paramount. I will follow your lead.
Are the sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is essential to the therapy process. The personal information you share in therapy will be kept confidential, and this protection continues even after the therapeutic relationship ends.
There are specific legal situations where information must be disclosed:
A- If someone is in imminent danger due to a medical emergency, suicidal intent, or homicidal plans.
B- If a child or vulnerable person has been, or is at risk of being, abused, neglected, or harmed.
C- If there has been abuse by another professional.
D- If there is a court order or subpoena requiring the release of records.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Dana Cressman Mental Health Therapy does have a cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is the full price of the canceled or missed session.
